Drift Trike
Looking to get into some narly drifts setting up a decent drift trike.
Got myself a Souther Star trike and cut off the rear end and getting the frame set up before making some axel purchases, and then the motor etc.
Plans are for a big 40mm Axel with fat 10" Go-Kart tires ready for some PVC outers and a powerful motor to really get those wheels spinning.
Finish it off with a army green (growing up in a AJ community) with plenlty of gold trim and parts.
Stay tuned
Re: Drift Trike
Yay more drift trike builds
The 40mm axle is a good idea! i recommend the ultimate axle kit
The 9 keyways will make life so easy, look forwad to seeing how it turns out!
Re: Drift Trike
Thanks man, Yeah thats the kit im looking to get, though i probably wont be using the brakes in the kit straight away.
Will just stick to the front brakes until she is up, riding and sliding, then decided if i need to put the brakes on for better sideways entry or anything.
Hopefully the motor (when i decide what to get) will be powerful enough to break enough traction when i give it a hit
Re: Drift Trike
Good idea rear brakes are hardly any benefit.
Just a heads up with the rear brake idea, if you use them with PVC pipe you will get flat spots on the PVC and it eats the PVC realllllly fast, I’m planning on just having a second set of rims with rear kart tyres on them to go downhill like a maniac and have the power of a 4 Pot Brembo behind me to save me along with rear slick tyres its gunna be crazy.
