I wanted to build a wacky project to show my son..anything is possible.
We dragged of the street a dead 4 burner BBQ, stripped it, repainted it, fitted steering from a electric toy jeep, made up a back axle from a conveyor shaft, seat from a school chair. I taught my son to fold up a tin lid shaped in a V so we could fit Chrome rocker covers and in the middle trumpets.
Wheels alre also from the same toy jeep (bough from the dump). Accelrator pedal come from an old XC ute. Motor is a new 6.5hp Honda replica motor. Tthe intent is to have a machine that spins up the back wheels and does do-nuts...which it does. However we now need to add steel reinforced plates to stop destroyed the wheel centres .. the fun of motorsport!.
