NEW TEMP GUAGE WITH WATER AND HEAD TEMP SENSOR OPTIONS!

TTEMP1BIG.jpg

NEW!   JUST ARRIVED.

NOW YOU DON'T HAVE TO PAY OVER $700 FOR A MYCHRON JUST TO DO YOUR TEMPS!

SAVE YOUR AIR OR WATER COOLED ENGINE WITH OUR NEW CPR GT TEMP GAUGE!

2-STROKE AND 4-STROKE WATER-COOLED OR AIR-COOLED COMPATIBLE!

NEW WATER COOLED OPTION NOW AVAILABLE!

If you've got a performanced engine, and you've seized it due to lean-out you'll know just how quickly that can happen - in the course of one long straight often.  If you're running speedway it's an even bigger problem with revs constantly high.

Rebuilding an engine due to lean-out and melted pistons can cost upwards of $500 depending on who's doing it for you - parts run $200-$300 easily and that's if you can save the bore.

THIS GAUGE WILL SAVE YOU!

    - TEMP LIMIT ALERT - User Settable
    - LARGE BACKLIT DISPLAY
    - MAX TEMP RECALL
    - REPLACABLE BATTERY
    - WEATHER PROOF
    - INCLUDED TEMP SENSOR

With its unique temperature alert, backlight and Maximum Temp Recall you'll be in the know at all times - and you can keep a close eye on what your engine is doing while you're driving.

You can even tune your engine using the temp gauge!

AIR COOLED OR WATER COOLED OPTIONS.
You can choose between our pre-packaged GT Temp Gauge including air-cooled spark plug sensor, or water-cooled 1/8 BSP Sensor to suit your engine!  And they are cross-compatible, so if you have both the air cooled engine Gauge, you can attach the water cooled sensor later!

GT WATER-COOLED GAUGE PACK can be found by CLICKING HERE

GT AIR-COOLED GAUGE PACK can be found by CLICKING HERE

SENSORS AVAILABLE SEPARATELY
Buy the cylinder head sensor, or the water cooled temp sensor separately as replacements, or to upgrade your gauge to read water or air on different engines!

THIS WEEK'S DIY GUIDE

GearRatioGuide.jpg

IS YOUR GEAR RATIO TRASHING CLUTCHES? WE'LL EXPLAIN WHY AND HOW TO FIX IT!

Guide – Choosing the right gear ratio for a dry centrifical clutch.
When faced with gear choices such as sprockets on clutches and many different rear axle sprockets it’s not hard to become overwhelmed and confused – there really are a lot of choices.

To the uninitiated, new to the game, project builder or kart driver it can be a sea of numbers which, if chosen incorrectly, can result in either a top speed of virtually nothing at all, or in the worst situation a smoking destroyed clutch.
So the big question is: “What is the right gear ratio for me?”

Well, there are three factors that come into play when choosing a gear ratio. Before we go through those, it is important to understand how a dry clutch operates. If you haven’t already done-so, it’s worth reading through our clutch guide by CLICKING HERE

But if you don’t want to read that guide, here’s the excerpt that deals with how a clutch operates:

1. Dry Centrifugal Clutch operation

Learn how to install a Dry Clutch by CLICKING HERE

Dry centrifugal clutches run a very simple method of power transfer. This makes them incredibly inexpensilve - one of their major pros. Both our popular entry level stock clutch (such as the CLC3512) and our GT clutch (such as the CGT3512) both emply this technology slightly differently, but the concepts are the same.

The clutch comprises of three main pieces:

Griffo is now assembling an impressive new slider using the CPR KSLDR1 complete slider rear end pack - check out the video and follow his story - as we will - to see the end result.

Geoff's Lotus Build EPISODE 12
FRIDAY NIGHT FUN - THIS WEEK WE UPDATE YOU ON GEOFF'S POPULAR MINI LOTUS 7 PROJECT!

This week, Geoff gets the chassis rolling then finds another problem with the steering but the engine mount is looking sweet! (on his awesome scale Lotus 7)

If you love Geoff's build (like us) then you can show him your support by subscribing to his youtube channel - juscozcustoms - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M6aIYch4ISA

GeoffLotusEp12.JPG

You've seen that dream car - the deep gloss paint glistening in the sun, beckoning you closer to touch it's smooth surface - to open it's door, jump into the driver's seat and turn that key (or press that button if your dream is a bit more modern). And then the reality hit's - it's not yours - and worse still, you can't afford it. It's the reality most of us motor enthusiasts suffer on a a daily basis. BUT WHAT IF YOU DIDN'T HAVE TO JUST DREAM?

That's when Geoff decided it was time to change the rules. Affordability didn't have to get in the way of his dream! He chose to build his own - a 1/2 scale version of a Lotus 7. BRILLIANT! We agree! Thinking outside the box or square or circle is what Geoff is also talented at, and because his project is going to be just as much fun, he's decided to take us all along for the ride! Thanks Geoff!

This is Geoff's thread. Using CPR Kart Parts components, Geoff willl build his very own 1/2 scale Lotus 7. Keep an eye on this thread AND subscribe to his youtube channel to keep updated! We'll also be sharing his videos on our facebook page.

Want to know more about Geoff? Here's a bit of a run-down on the man behind all the fun:

What is this awesome thing you've built?
"1/2 scale lotus 7"

Why did you decide to build this project?
Thought it would be cool and can't afford to build a full size one YET...

What is still left to do to finish it?
"Lots of little things then body work."

What are you going to do with it when it's finished?
"Glorious drifts using a pair of cpr drift rings and maybe even get it on a gokart track"

Why did you buy your parts from CPR?
"Good quality parts at an affordable price "

What was the best thing about the CPR parts you used?
"I can't fault them. The machining and finish is perfect"

What other motorsport stuff are you into?
"I build custom cars not necessarily race cars but they can go fast"

You can follow Geoff's build along with us on his thread on our site, including all the videos as they are posted on youtube here:

Have you got a project you've completed using some CPR parts that you'd like to show the CPR Kart Parts community?

Email your project to [email protected]

along with a quick write-up of what you've done and why and we'll try to feature it in our future newsletters.

And remember, we're here to help you get out there racing!

You can always be sure your items will leave the same day you order as long as you've made payment by 2pm that day. Sure, it's a big claim, but I know shopping online is all about getting it before the weekend race day, and that's why I'm absolutely dedicated to getting our gear out the same day you order. I believe so strongly that this is a critical component of our business that I've devoted the last two hours of the day to ensuring just that. Don't be surprised if I can't get to the phone during these times as we're probably flat out! Just leave me a message and I'll call you back asap.

I know if you've bought from us before, you've had a great experience. Nothing's changed with our focus - we still want to help the average Australian race, but we're expanding our range every day so I'd love for you to check out our latest website updates and see if we can help you again, today. Go on, visit our store at www.CutPriceRacing.com.au - I mean, surely you've got a couple of minutes for fun?
