219GTGold6PK.jpg

People are going MAD over our NEW GT-GOLD Chains!  Why?  Because they're awesome chains at a rock bottom price!

JOINER LINKS WITH 219P RACE GRADE CHAIN?!  YES!  ABSOLUTELY YES!

Have you been hunting for 219P chain with an optional joiner link?  Because up until now, you'd be right out of luck.  Except that CPR Kart Parts have stumbled upon something we think you'll find the best thing since sliced bread!

Yep, our new GT-GOLD series of CPR chains compatible with our 219P  Joiner Link!  Yes, we're not kidding - they're completely compatible with our G-DRIVE chains so you can now run a joiner link - or buy our G-DRIVE chain instead which includes a joiner link in the pack!

CPR GT-GOLD chain is a revolutionary new gold-link chain designed for optimum strength for budget racing while maintaining incredible convenience by offering full compatibility with our first race-grade joiner link available to kart racers globally.

If you're looking for a chain with maximum strength and durability, but at the same time need the convenience of accepting a readily available built-in joiner link for in-board use, then GT-GOLD chain is the perfect partner for your race kart.

GT-GOLD chain has been designed and manufactured to exacting standards utilising cutting edge manufacturing methods, as well as state of the art machinery to ensure the highest reliability.

Heat treatment: GT-GOLD chain ensures the highest strength and reliability through the use of technically advanced heat application to provide high quality mating surfaces where rollers and bushes inter-act.

Our 6-Pack is configurable in any combination of 98-112L sizes - you can find in our store here

NEW MODEL SNIPER ALIGNER

SniperSPRBIG.jpg

BREAKING OR STRETCHING CHAINS FOR NO REASON?

Is this you?  Do you battle every meeting with chains that just don't seem good enough to do the job on the day?

Have you ever considered it may not be your chain?

Incorrectly aligned sprockets will wear prematurely, damage, and break chains as well as wear prematurely, damage and warp sprockets.  Wear and damage all waste precious energy delivered by your engine.  What's the point in spending mega bucks on an engine but losing horsepower through your drivetrain from a simple alignment?

Aligning chains by eye or with a straight edge is notoriously inaccurate, and you can have a sprocket that's bent or damaged and not even know it.

This awesome little tool solves all of your issues once and for all.  Ensure your sprocket is perfectly aligned by clipping to your sprocket and setting the position of the carrier without question!

Check straightness of sprockets and carriers by rotating the sprocket and re-attaching the tool each partial rotation - if the alignment goes out during the process you know you've got a bent sprocket or hub.  It's really that easy!

FRIDAY NIGHT FUN

Take a ride in the water truck around Ma Ma Creek race-track for a track tour

Every Friday we'll be posting one of our fantastic customer DIY projects or somewhere you can go to race your kart.

This week we take a ride in the water truck around Ma Ma Creek (Lockyer Dirt Track Kart Club) near Gatton in QLD to give you an idea of the layout and what it's like to drive around the track.

MaMaCreekTrackTour.JPG

Lovingly referred to as the 'Bathurst' of karting tracks, the 1100m sprawling circuit comprises of 4 elevation changes per lap.  This poses unique challenges for competitors, with several blind corners including a steep drop away down to the left after the long start straight when travelling anti-clockwise.  Karts attempt to brake from full speed on the dirt surface, making the corner a heart-in-mouth experience as a driver and an exciting place to spectate with passing manoeuvres being undertaken almost every lap in some fields of competitors.

A kink in the middle of the main straight has the potential to bring any driver not careful with the right foot completely un-done and at speed, again producing some Adrenalin charged moments and huge levels of disappointment for competitors who try to push too hard using the wrong line - just metres away from the start finish line producing some highly entertaining race finishes.

A set of esses coming back up the hill on the back straight can be slippery, providing one of the most interesting challenges to high powered modified category competitors who will almost certainly need to be careful modulating their speed through this section which takes no prisoners.

From the start finish line, when positioned on the viewing platform spectators can see the entire track, making this a fantastic spectators course given the elevation changes.

The well laid out pit area offers plenty of grassed vehicle access positions close to the track to park a ute or trailer, and after a quick chat to anyone racing you'll find everyone is more than willing to lend a hand to help with gearing or any other question you may have about racing there - it's so friendly it's almost hard to believe they're actually racing for points!

With such a diverse range of corners, elevation changes, off-camber banked turns and great places to spectate, Ma Ma Creek is considered one of the most exciting and challenging kart tracks in Queensland.  Coupled with the friendly family-focused atmosphere as well as low-cost engine classes and fair firm enforcement of rules along with the ability to score points toward class results, it's the ideal place to begin your karting career, or to casually race a weekend away.

If you're interested in learning more about this exciting venue, click here.

Just have a look at the fun they are having!

VIDEO Geoff's Lotus Build EPISODE 28
FRIDAY NIGHT FUN !  Geoff's Scale Lotus Build EPISODE 28

"In this episode I almost finish the wiring loom hence part 2 of 2. I make the loom that runs out of the console and along the chassis and prepare to finish it going into the console but i run out of heat shrink and plugs so that will all happen at a later date.  ." - Geoff

If you love Geoff's build (like us) then you can show him your support by subscribing to his youtube channel - juscozcustoms - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Khf_AvqNDwM

GeoffLotusEp28.JPG

You've seen that dream car - the deep gloss paint glistening in the sun, beckoning you closer to touch it's smooth surface - to open it's door, jump into the driver's seat and turn that key (or press that button if your dream is a bit more modern). And then the reality hit's - it's not yours - and worse still, you can't afford it. It's the reality most of us motor enthusiasts suffer on a a daily basis. BUT WHAT IF YOU DIDN'T HAVE TO JUST DREAM?

That's when Geoff decided it was time to change the rules. Affordability didn't have to get in the way of his dream! He chose to build his own - a 1/2 scale version of a Lotus 7. BRILLIANT! We agree! Thinking outside the box or square or circle is what Geoff is also talented at, and because his project is going to be just as much fun, he's decided to take us all along for the ride! Thanks Geoff!

This is Geoff's thread. Using CPR Kart Parts components, Geoff willl build his very own 1/2 scale Lotus 7. Keep an eye on this thread AND subscribe to his youtube channel to keep updated! We'll also be sharing his videos on our facebook page.

Want to know more about Geoff? Here's a bit of a run-down on the man behind all the fun:

What is this awesome thing you've built?
"1/2 scale lotus 7"

Why did you decide to build this project?
Thought it would be cool and can't afford to build a full size one YET...

What is still left to do to finish it?
"Lots of little things then body work."

What are you going to do with it when it's finished?
"Glorious drifts using a pair of cpr drift rings and maybe even get it on a gokart track"

Why did you buy your parts from CPR?
"Good quality parts at an affordable price "

What was the best thing about the CPR parts you used?
"I can't fault them. The machining and finish is perfect"

What other motorsport stuff are you into?
"I build custom cars not necessarily race cars but they can go fast"

You can follow Geoff's build along with us on his thread on our site, including all the videos as they are posted on youtube here:

CPR Monday Night Racing Rnd 5:

Radicals at Twin Ring Motegi East

Practice was late in the afternoon and come race time the track was pretty much completely in the dark.

Qualifying in the dark a little dicey with the tires not up to temp for the shootout laps. One of the rare nights where qualifying generally slower than practice.

Tricky car and a tricky track, Steven Latimore moving into the top spot early in the race and stayed there mostly unchallenged, behind was a three way battle for second and third early in the race but come the second half particularly after the pit-stops the positions had sorted themselves out.

Race Second:
Paul Jones
Race Third: Jason Cossey

No penalty as issues dealt with in race

Did have to remove one person from qualifying as they failed to listen to race control. Not what we want to do but for the sake of progressing through the session they were removed. Just a reminder please have your chat volume up.

Next week we hit the half way point with the trucks at Daytona.
This round will surely mix the results up as while driving clean and strategy does matter, the luck element gets dialed up a few notches on these plate tracks.

A problematic night for some except this fella, good drive by Steven Latimor for the win.
AMFRoundResults.jpg

Quick qualifying but a slowish start to the race, Paul Jones was battling for position early in the race but was able to get an advantage by maintaining some consistency for 2nd Place.
AMFRoundResults.jpg

First time racer on a Monday night and able to grab a podium, Jason was fighting with Chris Pellat for the spot till Chris had moment. Jason was looking at second but had a few moments and in the end under threat from Bruce Ross. Good drive by Jason though new to series and grabbing a good result 3rd place.
AMFRoundResults.jpg

Steven Latimore slots into 2nd and Paul into 3rd with Dean Ross currently out of action. Nathan getting a 5th spot getting enough points to maintain a one round lead over the field.

Sure, it's a big claim, but I know shopping online is all about getting it before the weekend race day, and that's why I'm absolutely dedicated to getting our gear out the same day you order. I believe so strongly that this is a critical component of our business that I've devoted the last two hours of the day to ensuring just that. Don't be surprised if I can't get to the phone during these times as we're probably flat out! Just leave me a message and I'll call you back asap.

I know if you've bought from us before, you've had a great experience. Nothing's changed with our focus - we still want to help the average Australian race, but we're expanding our range every day so I'd love for you to check out our latest website updates and see if we can help you again, today. Go on, visit our store at www.CutPriceRacing.com.au - I mean, surely you've got a couple of minutes for fun?
