To start racing, you’ll need:

A kart – secondhand ones suitable to compete with can be bought from kart shops or karters upgrading their current equipment. If you are unsure whether a kart will meet the current AIDKA specifications seek advice from any Jenna member or from a reputable kart shop (listed on the Links page).

A motor – to suit the class you wish to compete in.

Racewear – racesuit, helmet, gloves, enclosed shoes and a neckbrace (which is now COMPULSORY for ALL drivers).
Membership to a Club.

AIDKA Licence – the fees are set by AIDKA Council and advertised early each year.

Your Checklist Kart (ensure it will meet kart specifications and has correct coloured plates and numbers on it).

Tools (like metric spanners, sprockets, Allen keys and a tyre pressure gauge.

Maybe a couple of spare spark plugs, different sized sprockets and a spare chain) plus fuel and oil.

Racewear – racesuit, helmet, gloves, enclosed shoes and a neckbrace (which is now COMPULSORY for ALL drivers).

Tearoffs or roll-ons for your helmet’s visor, plus spares.

Licence and Log Book.

Money for nomination fee, etc.

Get to the track on time; set your alarm.
